I’m sorry you had trouble with the dough. It’s not usually a very sticky dough. There could be so many factors – from the weather to measuring ingredients. If you make them again, try sliding the dough into the refrigerator for an hour to let it rest and firm up.

This dough is very difficult to work with. I had to keep adding more flour throughout the process of rolling and cutting out the shapes. The dough was very sticky and elastic. I used a large bone shaped cutter and the size of the bone treat was not consistent. It was a lot of work, my dog will have to really love these before I make these again .

My dogs love these treats! Took sweet potato and unsweetened applesauce dog treats and these to coworkers for their dogs and pook’s treats win! I do add a tiny little bit of peanut butter so cheating a little but still the thought of them getting such great ingredients makes me and them so happy 🙂

I’m currently going through the same sticky problem haha. I didn’t toss it all out, and have the remaining dough in the ice box hoping that it helps with the next round. But yeah…. verrrry! sticky!
I basically rolled small balls in flour, and then put them on parchment paper before putting them in the oven. Fingers crossed ha. Interested to see how they turn out. I’ve made treats similar to this one before without problems.

I have all your dog treat recipes which gives Annie, my Aussie Shepherd a great variety. She enjoys each and every one of them – especially with pumpkin.
