4 ingredient banana dog treats

Quick and easy, egg-free treats for your dog! They are less expensive than store bought varieties, ready in about 40 minutes and perfect for pups with sensitive bellies.

Measure 2 cups of old fashioned rolled oats and add to the bowl of a food processor. *You can use quick cooking if that's what you have.

Run the food processor until the oats are fairly fine. This should only take 2 - 3 minutes, time may vary depending on your food processor.

The oats should be almost as fine as flour. If you have a few larger pieces, it's ok, just not too many.

Mix chia seeds with yogurt and set aside. Let the chia seeds absorb some of the liquid from the yogurt - this will help bind the dough.

Mash a ripe banana in a mixing bowl, then add ground up oats to the bowl. Add the chia seed and yogurt mixture and mix until combined.

Roll out the dough to about 1/8" thick on a lightly floured surface. The dough will be stiff, but it rolls out easily.

Using a small (2 inch / 5 cm) cookie cutter cut out treats. Gather and re-roll dough until you have approximately 34 treats.

Use a customizable cookie stamp to emboss your pet's name or a sweet word on the treats before baking.

Place treats on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 - 25 minutes. To make them shiny, you can brush with an egg wash.

This recipe for homemade banana dog treats is quick and easy, it’s a healthier option for your pup.
