Homemade Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats

Easy, and less expensive than store-bought. Plus, you can customize them to your dogs personal tastes.

The combination of banana and peanut butter smells amazing while it is in the oven, so don’t be surprised if your dog starts lingering around the kitchen.

Ingredients:

3 cups old-fashioned oats

1/3 cup peanut butter

1 banana

1 egg

2 tbsp flour, if necessary

It's easy to make and less expensive than store-bought. Making treats for your pet shouldn’t take all day. These 4 ingredient dog treats are done from start to finish in about 30 minutes.

For these treats, I’ve used old-fashioned oats.  You’ll need to grind the oats a bit to make them finer.  Simply run them in the food processor for a few minutes to break them up.

After your grind the oats; add banana, egg and peanut butter. Mix until dough is uniform, then turn it out onto a floured countertop to roll out and cut treats.

To make these treats shiny on top, brushed them with an egg wash. If you are giving them away, it’s a nice touch, but not at all necessary.

Bake for 16 - 18 minutes, or a few minutes longer for extra crunchy treats. Cool COMPLETELY before giving to your pup.

Store the treats in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze them and take out a few at a time, which is what I do most of the time.
