salt

vanilla bean paste

unsalted butter

pecans

chocolate

Preheat oven to 375F. Lay pecans on a sheet pan in a single layer and toast in the oven for 5-7 mins, until fragrant.

Make browned butter by melting in a pot over medium heat for 5 -6 minutes until golden and foamy. This is going to make the biscotti taste AMAZING.

Put

Make dough and form into two even loaves, roughly 3" wide. Place dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake for 22 -24 minutes, then cool slightly and gently slice. Return to the oven for an additional 18 - 20 minutes.

To drizzle with chocolate:  Melt 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate in the microwave and pour into pastry (piping) bag. Snip end to make a very small opening and pipe in a zig-zag pattern.
