Homemade buckeyes are the perfect fast, easy and delicious treat, making them a great choice for the holidays when you need a tasty treat that doesn’t take too much time or energy.
STEP 1
Cream peanut butter, cream cheese and butter together until completely smooth and free of any lumps.
STEP 2
Using a 1 ounce scoop or tablespoon, scoop balls of peanut butter mixture and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
Roll with your hands to smooth.
STEP 3
Carefully lower them into the melted chocolate, about 3/4 the way up the ball of peanut butter.
STEP 4
Place on parchment-lined baking sheet to let the chocolate set.
Smooth the top with your finger to cover the hole from the skewer.
If you want a thinner coating, dip when the chocolate is warmer.
For a thicker coating of chocolate, let the chocolate cool just a bit longer before dipping.
