Kitchen Cold Remedy Tea

A simple tea to help ward off the symptoms of a common cold

Ingredients

  • 2 -3 quarts water
  • 1 lemon cut in slices
  • 5 sprigs mint
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 inch piece of ginger peeled & cut into coins
  • Honey to taste
  • Lemon slices to garnish
  • Mint to garnish

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized pot add water, lemon slices, mint, peppercorns and ginger.
  • Bring to a simmer. Let it simmer for 20 minutes, remove from heat.
  • Strain and add honey to taste.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and lemon if desired.

Notes

Optional add ins:
- cinnamon stick
- star anise
- oranges
- lemongrass
