- 3 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup pure pumpkin purée
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
- 1/2 cup blueberries fresh or frozen & drained
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°F / 177°C / Gas mark 4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add oats to the bowl of a food processor.
Let machine run for 2 - 3 minutes, until oats are almost flour consistency with a few big pieces left.
Add cinnamon and coconut oil. Pulse a few times to combine.
Add pumpkin purée, egg and blueberries. Mix to combine until dough looks uniform.
Scoop with small cookie scoop and drop on lined sheet pan.
Flatten the tops with your fingers (wetting them a bit helps to keep it from sticking).
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes, rotating halfway through.
Cool completely before giving to your dog.
I used a small cookie scoop that holds 2 teaspoons. If you use a scoop that is either larger or smaller, your yield will vary.
To make these WITHOUT a food processor, just stir everything together in a large bowl and proceed with the recipe. The texture will not be as smooth, but the recipe will still work.
