Cold Remedy Tea

This cold remedy tea with help soothe your sore throat and help you through the common cold.

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts Water
  • 1 Lemon cut in slices
  • 5 sprigs Mint leaves only
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
  • 2 inch Ginger root sliced into coins
  • Honey to taste
  • Lemon slices to garnish, optional
  • Mint to garnish, optional

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized pot add water, lemon slices, mint, peppercorns and ginger.
  • Bring to a simmer. Let it simmer for 20 minutes, remove from heat.
  • Strain and add honey to taste.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and lemon if desired.

Notes

Optional add ins: 
  • cinnamon stick
  • star anise
  • orange and/or lime
  • lemongrass
  • chile pepper
  • turmeric
