Strawberry Spritzer Recipe with Rosé Wine
Looking for a really good spritzer recipe? This strawberry spritzer is light and as far as spritzer recipes go, it’s pretty straightforward. These types of drinks are not heavy on the alcohol, which makes them ideal for warmer days.

Like a sangria, it is a great option when having a gathering. It is full of strawberry flavor and the lovely pink hue comes not only from the rosé wine, but also the berries themselves. This is the perfect summer sipper. Summer is a great time to make a variety of spritzer recipes because there is so much fruit in season. Quick and easy to make, this drink only has a handful of ingredients. So, make a pitcher and invite a few friends over!

A good rule for making spritzers is 3 parts wine to 1 part soda. If you prefer more or less wine, you can adjust to suit your personal preference. Because I’m usually the person hosting the event (it’s sort of my thing), I will more often than not do half wine/half soda. The same rule for personal preference applies to the simple syrup – if you like a sweeter drink, add more syrup. If you don’t like it at all, don’t use any.
Setting up a spritzer bar
Because everyone has their own personal tastes on how much wine they want in their drink, or how sweet they like it, setting up a spritzer bar is a fantastic option for guests. You can make a “recipe card” on something as simple as a chalkboard to give them a guideline for the perfect ratio and they can adjust to their tastes from there.
One of my all time favorites is the Blood Orange White Wine Spritzer that I made a few years ago. You can put out a few different wines, a handful of sodas, simple syrups and fruit garnishes. Done!
Wine drinks

I’m no stranger to wine cocktails. I like them because they are generally not too heavy and I’m not a big drinker, so I can’t really handle too much alcohol. A wine spritzer recipe with fruit is guaranteed to be refreshing and good for sipping in warm weather. Spring is here and with it comes fruit. Berries are coming in, to be followed by stone fruit in the summer. When cherries come in, I like to use them to make a strawberry and cherry spritzer and also summer peaches, so you can mix up your wine cocktails all summer long.

Spritzer Cocktail Recipe
Recently, I had a discussion with someone about cooking with wine. She said that when she added the wine to her food, she didn’t like how it tasted. My first question was “Is it a wine that you would drink?”. If not, don’t use it for anything! The same rule applies to making cocktails – don’t use a wine that you wouldn’t drink. If you hate the wine, no amount of soda or simple syrup is going to fix it. You know that saying about lipstick on a pig, right?
That being said, don’t use a $100 bottle of wine for spritzers or sangria. Choose an inexpensive bottle that is good enough to drink on its own, because you are going to taste the wine. You want to enjoy it, instead of pouring soda and fruit into it trying to mask the flavor.
I hope this quick and easy spritzer recipe inspires you to have a few friends over. Entertaining your tribe doesn’t need to be a big production. Inviting friends over should be low stress. Make a pitcher of spritzers and put out a few nibbles. Keep it simple so you can spend time with your people, because that’s what it is all about, isn’t it?

- A long spoon is a necessary tool for mixing drinks in a pitcher. This one is simple and elegant and serves it purpose beautifully.
- You need a pitcher to make a pitcher of drinks for your guests, right? Choose one that is clear glass to show off all of the pretty colors in your drink.
- A basic corkscrew is something that everyone should own and know how to use. Unless you are Inspector Gadget, you’re not getting into that bottle without one.
- For parties, I only use stemless wine glasses. How many times has a full wine glass been knocked over at a party? Not anymore.
